Brazil dam ‘tragedy’: Dozens dead and 300 missing

& Neptune conjunct fixed star "Mouth in the River"

Thirty-four people have been found dead after the dam burst in Brumadinho on Friday, releasing a torrent of sludge, while nearly 200 people have been rescued, according to firemen running the rescue effort in the town.

The breakup of the dam in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, on Friday afternoon (January 25th, 2019) takes place just over three years after the tragedy in Mariana. The same happened in the state on November 5th, 2015, a dam of the company Samarco broke, destroyed the district of Bento Rodrigues and left 19 dead, among residents and employees of the company. This was the biggest environmental disaster in Brazilian history, according to Ibama.

Recently, transiting Moon/Sun and the lunar nodes formed a total lunar eclipse in Leo. Making an exact trine to Brazil’s natal Pluto in Aries.

Venus is Brazil’s Almuten of the Figure. Transiting Venus/Jupiter at the eclipse was exact square transiting Neptune and thus square fixed star Achernar (more below). Transiting Neptune is now in Brazil’s 1st house. A malefic in angular position touching a fixed star. Dangerous. Actually, almost conjunct exact the 2nd house of Brazil’s natural resources.

Capricorn Ingress and Natural (or provoked) Disasters

This was the tragedy of the rupture of the Vale dam in Brumadinho. A rupture had occurred. The recently chart Ingress for Capricorn 2018 in Brazil, Uranus is the ruler of disasters (8th house), and to apply the square to the lunar nodes is within 1°47′ – the event happened exactly 1 month and 4 days after such Ingress. Uranus is the planet of overnight events and that of sudden ruptures.

I couldn’t exactly find the right spot of where such event could have happened. But I noticed something interesting in this case (even in total eclipses of some years ago). As said, the ruler of 8th house is Uranus in the Capricorn Ingress, and Brazil’s natal Uranus is located in the 11th house (direction SSE). Brumadinho is located Southeast Brazil.

Capricorn is a sign of Earth, thus in tune/vibe with planet Earth and its natural resources. The Lunar Nodes involved, tells us it was some sort of karma. Nevertheless, I shall not judge more of than astrology previously has shown us.

Transiting Neptune conjunct Fixed Star Achernar

In a dark sky, you can see that Achernar marks the end of a great stream of stars known to the ancients as a celestial River. This is the constellation Eridanus the River, and Achernar is its brightest star. In fact, the name Achernar means End of the River. - earthsky.org

Constellation Eridanus, with the exception of Achernar, is like Saturn. It gives a love of knowledge and science, much travel and many changes, a position of authority, but danger of accidents especially at sea and of drowning. [Vivian E. Robson, 1923, p.44, 116.]

The slow transit of Neptune, makes a conjunction to a planet (or any other aspect) a bit longer than that of Uranus. Achernar is now transiting at 15°19′ Pisces. Neptune was at 15° degrees in 2018, and is close enough in orb to be considered an efficient conjunction as it will reach 15° again on February 3rd, 2019. It will be until start of March. Then, in retrograde motion it will be back to the 15th degree on November 27th, 2019 for the last time.

This constellation portends rain. Modern astrologers claim that the constellation gives a love of knowledge and science, but there is no support for this contention in classical astrology. Eridanus does, however, indicate events concerned with rivers and streams. Ptolemy states that the star at the end of the river has a nature like that of Jupiter, and the other stars in the constellation have an influence akin to that of Saturn.
