Hi From Amsterdam – The Netherlands Natal Chart
I decided to take a vacation of 2 weeks after 2 years working straight with no proper holidays. These 2 years since I got to live in UK have been Saturn activation by Annual Profection of the Ascendant, and the planet is the ruler of my Ascendant in Capricorn and 2nd house of survival instincts, it has been awarding two years and quite resourceful and money-wise, but I need a break, and Amsterdam was my target.

Amsterdam has a history that dates to the 12th century when it was established as a fishing village. It grew to become a major trading center due to its strategic location on the Amstel River and its access to the North Sea.
The chart of The Hague set for July 26th; 1581 (Act of Abjuration) timed at noon (summertime) shows Cancer culminating (the first water sign) – Amsterdam for example is well known for its abundance of water as the city is encircled by river and lakes everywhere. Fish net Neptune is the planet closest to the meridian, not to mention fertile Jupiter conjunct the 4th house of the country’s water system, abundance or lack, etc. The Moon in such chart is in the sign of bridges Aquarius – the water pourer. Each corner you will face a bridge or multiples of them.
Amsterdam, like many other European cities, had to undergo extensive reconstruction after WWII to rebuild damaged infrastructure and housing. Efforts were made to restore historical buildings and repair the city’s canals.
This Neptune of 1581 chart is so “real” that even after WWII it didn’t stop from glamorizing the country, Amsterdam at night glows with lights and neon boards, from the red district light and marijuana dispensaries to cultural modernization, you walk and you listen to the rivers around and observe the boats while under an outstanding full moon, it feels you are inside this little dream with a certain story that forms each second you make a choice in this labyrinth-town, it feels you are inside an organized beautiful chaos with exotic and attractive colorations embodied with the contemporary air of a fresh civilization. With that Sun in Leo, it really feels you are on a stage of a well adorned country.
