Venus Opposite Neptune — November 2023

Next year will be the last Venus Opposite Neptune in the Virgo-Pisces axis. From 2025 until 2038 Venus in Libra will oppose Neptune in Aries instead. Enjoy this penultimate opportunity to make peace with your own personal illusions where this the Virgo-Pisces axis is concerned.  

Due to Venus nearness the Sun and never more than 46° degrees apart, when Venus opposes this generational planet, Neptune will always be retrograde, and Venus is rarely retrograde on these events. The planetary aspect of this kind to happen with Venus retrograde was back in 2007 in the sign of Leo! The next time Venus will be retrograde when opposing Neptune will be now only in 2069!  

When Venus opposes Neptune, we want the perfect love, the faultless relationship that will take you to the stars and have an ecstasy together. People now want to find the bliss of relationships, and how far those can take them to experience the garden of Eden with the one or people they love most. 

If your “ideal” love is not there, then disappointments you may find, perhaps to clear your head in order to give room to new dreams concerning relationships and your social standards, or simple, a reaffirmation that you seek in them the ideal you lack in yourself, mirroring your deepest antagonisms. How much are you willing to give up in order to fit the picture of your lover’s ideals and vice-versa? Now, put that quest at the world at large. Almost impossible to think of, although one can try to think numerous solutions. 

Confusion & uncertainty about significant others and one’s own ideals are common themes with such hard opposition from the planet of love and that of deception. Yet, I challenge you to doubt for a minute about the people you love or have business with etc. We think we know people, but people can surprise us – we have a certain image of them in our heads and how they would behave if this and that would be said or done, but people are also individuals with their own quest and puzzles to resolve.  

Different from Conjunctions, Oppositions can be quite resistance and cause more objections than union. However, opposing degrees teach us where to identify important things that need to be addressed, reminding us what really matters. Oppositions can improve decision-making regarding the signs in the axis & house themes, because this is the time when we can see crystal clear how far apart we can distance ourselves from our own dreams/ideals and creative motivations.
