On 21 August 1986, a limnic eruption at Lake Nyos in northwestern Cameroon killed 1,746 people and 3,500 livestock. 300 people were hospitalized. What the hell are the astrological factors behind it? How is such chart/radix?
FACTS: The eruption triggered the sudden release of about 100,000–300,000 tons (1.6m tons) of carbon dioxide (CO2). The gas cloud initially rose at nearly 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) and then, being heavier than air, descended onto nearby villages, displacing all the air and suffocating people and livestock within 25 kilometers (16 mi) of the lake. – Wikipedia
It is also a fact until today, that it is a mystery what triggered the catastrophic outgassing. Watch for mysterious Scorpio in the 10th house with its rulership Pluto culminating. Until today the place is said to be dead, no sign of birds or other animals.
The Chart

There is no article available on the internet that says exactly what time such fatal event happened. However, I found that Vulcano’s website cites it was in the evening, so I adjusted the chart where the Moon in Pisces would be in aspect to its South node in Scorpio, which was leaving deadly Scorpio that March of 1986. Capricorn sign of high places is rising at exotic 24th degrees – Lake Nyos is a deep lake high on the flank of an inactive volcano in the Oku volcanic plain along the Cameroon line of volcanic activity. The chart is high on planets on water (lake) and fire signs (volcanic).
“According to the reports of the few who managed to survive, it was in the evening when the villagers heard a rumbling sound. Leaving their homes to check on the source of the noise, they saw a tall fountain of water spouting out of Lake Nyos. Accompanying this fountain was the release of a white cloud of gas, that, as it grew bigger and taller, up to 100 m in height, settled on the surface of the lake and started to flow down the valley, forming a river of white gas 50 m tall. This river of gas flowed through the villages and the people in the villages started to lose consciousness, collapsing to the ground. The chart lacks planets in Air signs; well, only Venus is in Libra. The lack of a specific element in charts, show the tendency to exaggerate its element radiation, forcing much or less rather than equilibrating it. The poisoning was by air. But at first, the hazard volcanic lake had its action before sending poison out to the air. Usually, in such hazard lakes, the carbon dioxide dissolves into the lower depths of the lake, saturating water with Co². At Lake Nyos thing went different; the dissolved carbon dioxide remained trapped until something triggered its sudden release, resulting in a sudden, quick, and quiet disaster in West Africa. This was a toxic incident, and hushed Pluto had then recently entered the sign it rules, silent Scorpio. Carbon monoxide (CO2) is a gas that can kill you quickly. It is called the silent killer because it is colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-irritating. Pluto was culminating during the tragic fatality, and event that brought death in mass activated by nature. And again, the reasons behind still remain enigmatic.
In the chart of the day of the disaster, a T-square was activated by transiting Moon while conjunction Jupiter and square both erratic Uranus and forever wounded Chiron. The Moon was in water sign (so was Jupiter).
Lake Nyos had no previous signs of volcanic activity or that natural disaster could take place. It was a quiet, blue colored, beautiful lake, surrounded by small villages where the livelihood of the villagers was based on farming and raising cattle. When Pluto entered Scorpio back in the middle 80’s, many things in the world went unclear and mysterious, the aids spread and blood testing; in 1986 the first, Prather, and Eyestone clone a cow from embryo cells; etc.

Uranus conjunct Fixed Star Sabik
“Eta (η) Ophiuchus, Sabik, is a star on the right leg of the Serpent Bearer. It is Sabik with Al Tizini (Arabian astronomer, first half of 16th century), zeta (ζ Han) often being included; but Beigel thought that the name should be Saik, the Driver.” – constellationsofwords
Sabik is one of the southern-most star of the constellation. they were the Khorasmian Sardhiwa, the “Head of the Evil One” (even when the head is far from it). Philosopher Pliny said that it occasioned much mortality by poisoning and it also signifies unseen dangers. In the chart of the silent mass death by Lake Nyos, Uranus conjuncts fixed star Sabik
Total Solar Eclipse in Toxic Scorpio
The last Total Solar Eclipse prior to the event happened 9 months earlier in Scorpio. The Sun, Moon (and its south node), Venus, Pluto and Saturn were sharing Scorpio sign in this big stellium. The stellium was in the 8th house of death, expect Saturn. The ruler of such is Venus, so its terms. The duration of that eclipse was due to 2 years. Venus is detriment in the chart and is conjunct Pluto in invisible Scorpio. Scorpio the level ground is a water sign that rules lakes and toxicity. Although the stellium falls in the westsouth part of the chart, water signs rule the North direction. The event happened in the northwestern of Cameroon.
If we look to the Sun Ingress in Aries (no chart shown) for the year of 1986 in Cameroon; Bamenda Africa – All malefics occupy the 1st house (Saturn, Uranus, Mars and Neptune), expect for Pluto, and yet the planet was conjunct South Node. And more, the ruler of 8th house of death is located in the house itself. The degrees between the Moon to get to the trine of the Sun is of 5° – the event happened exactly 5 months ahead of the annual Ingress
