Pluto Cazimi — January 2024

Pluto at the Heart of the Sun – This will be literally the last chance and the last degrees and minutes of the Zodiac sign of Capricorn the Sun and Pluto meet up. Then, from 2025 until 2042, the Sun will conjunct Pluto in the sign of Aquarius.  Remember that when the Sun conjunct Mars and all the planets forward in the system, these planets will always be in their direct motion, and never retrograde. We will never see Pluto come across the Sun. Traditional astrology would call Mars-Jupiter-Saturn the superior planets due to their circles being vastly away and outside Earth’s orbit. 

The extend of the Sun’s disk size on the ecliptic is roughly 32’ seconds, then the traditional astrologers would consider its half to be the “heart of the Sun” – thus, any planet exact centred by 0° orb, or a planet conjunct but no more than 16’ seconds away from the Sun, are said to be in a very glorious, fortunate and shinning position.  It is a time to power up your heart with intense visions of what and who you can be if you go deep enough.  

The last Sun-Pluto conjunction in critical Capricorn may feel like “this is the last offer”, bringing that excitement of urgency to even desperate. At the same time, such meeting can offer us an opportunity to cut ties with toxicity, superficial influences, things and people that takes your light away and throw you to the shadows, or toxicities in our lives made by ourselves that took you too far from yourself. A great turning point regarding self-control, stable power, sexual power, vicious behaviours, obsessions and fixations on certain world topics etc. 

Planets “Cazimi” are astrologically protected, secured and fastened, as if the Sun renovates a whole new nuclear power facility for Pluto every Solar Year. This is perhaps an opportunity to go deep into the “heart” of a situation perpetuating the transiting Pluto sector of your chart. People will be purging that what no longer serves, and it is going to be in considerable.   

It is that time of the year to set up powerful fresh intentions, consciously or not, regarding one’s authenticity and reliability before others. Humans are fulling their power-reservation so if things get stiff in the near future, they will make sure they have extras to contain damages. People get to extremes to have their ends met, and this will be the time to begin that powerful plan to power up yourself.  

When the Sun conjoins Pluto, the furthest known in the system, humanity meets up that what makes they fear most and burn it down, a moment of incredible courage is activated and the humans are super-power beings with extra energy to carry on from now on until next year when the meeting happens again. It is when Apollo go find Hades underground to see what he is up to and try to convince him to come to light just for a bit, and Pluto accepts it. That void in the ground can’t no longer be avoided. 

Remember that it is easy to get lost in caves, as dark pervades. Imagine entering a very ancient cave, where sun light has never touched the stone walls. Imagine now that Apollo carries with him the Sun inside this cavern, what would you see? Perhaps plenty of dirty, mold, creatures of the night like bats, dangerous floor, decaying roofs etc.  This is exactly that period of the year when the Sun comes to shine that cave of yours where you leave your shadow when you go conscious mode, you are no longer lost in your own cavern. Perhaps, for many this is the time where it comes to consciousness, that shadow is burned and the Sun resets that what no longer needs to be there. But in that cave when the Sun rays down on there, you will also realize there are lakes, crystals, fishes etc. A whole new system is there which keeps us sane even in the darkest places. Time to go tour the collapsing tunnels of your life, watch them closer, observe, notice them and let it motivate you for a change. 

As if something needs to come out from the shadow, the uncomfortable truth you don’t want to know but should be conscious about. Where is transiting Pluto in your chart? Maybe this is an opportunity to consider that what needs an important and essential transformation. If it really bothers you, now it is the period to get aware, wide awake and alert – thus the period to deeply activate personal power, accept your darkness and use it when necessary, after all you can’t stop a predator only by talking. You are power itself; you are that nuclear reaction filled with ecstasy.  You power-house needs attention!
